This June and July, AJS supporter Steve McCloskey rode his bicycle over 2,500 miles from his home in Seattle, WA, to AJS's U.S. headquarters in Grand Rapids, Mich., to raise funds and awareness to support AJS's justice efforts in Honduras. Steve's goal was to raise $10,000 ($4 per mile) for AJS. He has come pretty close to that goal, and donations are still coming in! Learn more about Steve's ride at his blog (see links at right) and his progress map (below).
  • The blue placemarkers mark Steve's stopping points, where he spent each night.
  • The blue line shows how far Steve biked.
  • The red line shows Steve's progress towards his $10,000 goal--1 mile=$4 donated. The gold line shows pledges towards that goal.
Now YOU can ride for justice, too! In October, AJS is participating in the Ride for Refuge, a massive bike ride in cities across the U.S. and Canada where people are riding against poverty and injustice. We need riders! Click here to learn more.
