DIRECTOR OF LET’S TRANSFORM HONDURAS

“Something that gives us a lot of hope is to see that our children here in Honduras have better learning conditions and their education is improving. It also gives me a lot of hope to see that the system of health is now more transparent, the investment in health is greater, and our poorest population has access to medicines and medical attention, providing people with their right to health.”

PRESIDENT OF AJS-HONDURAS

“God calls us as Christians to do justice, to be salt and light in the darkness, so we are taking on that challenge — to provoke real change that lasts, especially for the poor, because in the end our goal is that those who are most vulnerable benefit from a more just society. This [can be] a time of fear, a time of anguish, and of questioning. But we also know that in God’s word we can find hope and strength.”

KEILA GARCIA

COORDINATOR OF TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT

“As Christians, I believe that hope is part of God’s will for us. We may not see changes with the speed that we would like, but we have to maintain this long-term vision. When I feel disappointed, or when I feel like I lack hope, I think that I may not know when it will come about, but I should still do my part, and perhaps my children or grandchildren will enjoy a healed earth and a better country. This gives me hope and encouragement to continue.”
